Our Story
Tasty China has always been a family restaurant built on hard work, tradition, and a love for good food.
Owner Mr. Fong grew up in Macau, where he learned to cook alongside his family. After immigrating to Chicago, he spent years helping his father run their family restaurants. What began as one small Chinese eatery eventually grew into three, each one operated by Mr. Fong’s siblings.
Now, with his father stepping back, Mr. Fong is taking the leap to lead Tasty China on his own. In his fifties and opening a new chapter, he’s stepping out with a dream, bringing decades of cooking experience, determination, and pride in sharing delicious Chinese food with the Humboldt Park community.
Every dish on the menu reflects that passion. Tasty China is more than just a restaurant; it’s a new beginning, a heartfelt continuation of a family legacy, and a reminder that it’s never too late to start something new.
